AHSI.....Kung Fu Panda is a great film for all to enjoy. If you are a big fan of karate movies or animation, then you get to enjoy the best of both worlds. Starring the voices of Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan, Ian McShane, Lucy Liu, Angelina Jolie, David Cross, and Seth Rogen. This movie tells the typical story, the simple life of a warrior that has been sent from the heavens to fulfill his destiny. Different karate moves are being displayed while incorporating characters true to kung fu form. AHSI would recommend this movie for children of all ages. 4 eyeballs.

The Incredible Hulk

AHSI...The Incredible Hulk starring Ed Norton as Dr. Bruce Banner was a lot better than the one that came out a couple of years ago. Liv Tyler plays Betty Ross, the Hulk's forbidden love. Tim Roth starrs as Emil Blonsky the Hulk's new enemy created by William Hurt AKA Gen. Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross. Lou Ferrigno has a small cameo and is also the voice of The Incredible Hulk. The story starts with Dr. Banner working outside of the United States still searching for a cure for the gamma rays that have infected his body. He crosses paths with his nemesis General Ross, his estranged daughter Betty and the US Military trying to bring him to justice because they consider him their property. AHSI gives this movie 3.5 eyeballs.

Lil Wayne's The Carter III Claims the Top Spot on The Billboard Chart

AHSI...... Lil Wayne sold approximately one million copies in the first week of his album being released. I was disappointed by all of the talk about Lil Wayne being the best rapper alive because when I finally listened to it, Wheezy F did not make a classic album. The best song on the album to me is Mr. Carter featuring Jay-Z. Milli and Lollipop are getting the radio spins but overall, I like the music the Mr. Carter was putting out on the mix Cd's in comparison to the album. Hova shows Wayne how to do it and how he has done it since 1996. For all you Lil Wayne fans, you will have to be honest with yourself and admit that he is not the best MC in the game. I give The Carter Three 3 eyeball.

AJSI....Brunch is a wonderful time to gather with family and friends to love, laugh, and reflect. I recently catered a retirement brunch for a former school teacher. As I worked in the kitchen I could hear laughter coming from the gathering room filled with her children that she raised into fine adults, and colleagues with whom she worked with for over thirty years. I could hear them laughing and reflecting as they sipped champagne mimosas. They all came to celebrate her retirement, and to say 'job well done'. Brunch can be prepared a day ahead leaving only a few items to be prepared the morning of the event. The lunch portion of the brunch can be cooked the day before, as well as some of the breakfast items such as pancakes, sausage, and french toast; also including any baked items (for example muffins, loafs, or cakes). These preparations will give you more time to spend with guests, and less time in the kitchen. An omelet bar is a nice touch to a brunch- as is a waffle station complete with all of the toppings. The menu for this brunch included: An Omelet station, Grits Sausage, Homefries, Pancakes Bagels, Muffins, Fried Fish, Jerk Chicken, Yellow & Green Beans Sauteed with Garlic.

Michelle Obama on the View

ASSI - Today Michelle Obama served as the sixth cost host on the view. Mrs. Obama was personable, funny, and looked beautiful. She is a first class act who was graceful and gracious and demonstrated that she can hold her own in any forum or environment, so bring on the nay- sayers. Michelle truly understands her functions as a wife and mother. She was sure to give the ladies dap that she so kindly referred to as the fist bump a fist to fist greetings something she learned from the young people working on her husband's campaign. She even sympathized with Elizabeth who made a eating schedule listing the foods her son Taylor can eat. The chart is for her husband and in-laws to follow while the show is taping in Las Vegas. Michelle shared with viewers that she has a personal designer who dresses her but the Black and White print dress she wore on the show was purchased off the rack at the Black/White Market that is located in most local malls. Sherri complimented Mrs. Obama on her figure, Whoopi celebrated the fact that Michelle is an articulate dark skin Black Woman who is shedding a different light on how Black Women are perceived. Barbara asked her if she thinks that Hilary Clinton should be her husband's running mate and she responded diplomatically, "I think the person who receives the nomination should pick their own running mate." According to Michelle, she is simply pleased that she is not part of the process. Joy asked if they could have Obama back on the show and her response was, "Absolutely." Many questions were asked about the media scrutiny regarding her statement about being really proud for the first time in her adult life. Whoopi made sure the clip of her speech was shown that demonstrated how the media purposely left out the word "Really" when the played her speech over and over again in an attempt to criticize her. The ladies discussed divesity amongs many topics and Michelle had an intelligent answer for every question asked. As I see it she was a delightful addition to the cost host table.

The Worst of Best Western

ASSI - The Best Western Lake Tarpon Hotel in Palm Harbor had the worse housekeeper next to the Days Inn in Alabama. There were open condom packs under the bed that remained there for the two days while we occupied the room. The front desk was notified but nothing was done except a note was written for the housekeeper. We actually reserved to rooms and neither were cleaned while we were there, in the other room we left an item in the bed just see if the item would be removed or would be wrap in the sheets that were removed from the bed. The item was still in the bed that was made-up with the same sheets. Besides notifying the front desk an email was sent to the manager, but to no avail. The rooms have very nice balconies unclean but spacious and scenic, and our rooms overlooked the lake that had live crocodiles, turtles, and fish the water was dark, murky, and looked contaminated. The Best Western offered complimentary breakfast that appeared to be left over from the previous day, the fruit was soggy, wilted, and unappetizing. The pool was full of debris from the trees and had not been cleaned in days. The best part of the stay was that other family members were present to offset the food, uncleaned rooms and balconies, dirty pool, and the lack of professionalism from the staff.

Exercising with the Ball

ASSI - I am still trying to understand how to properly use the exercise ball instead of coming with an instructional poster it should come with a trainer. I use it but wonder each time if I am using it correctly, I even question if there is adequate air in the ball. The Exercise Ball came with a pump that inflates and deflates and a measuring tape to prevent over inflating but the tape that is supposed to exactly measure the width of ball can wrap around the ball twice; therefore, it defeats the purpose of ensuring proper inflation. I am uncomfortable using the ball but I like the various exercises that can be done using the ball. I would enjoy it more if I knew that I was performing the exercises correctly. Nonetheless, I continue to use the ball three to four times a week for the last three to four weeks. My biggest problem is storing the ball it seems to be in the way with every move that I make. It was placed in the closet but each time I went into the close I had to remove the ball, it was in a corner designated as the exercise corner because it contains a weight bar, free weights, and the small ball weights but it often rolled out of place and into the walk space causing me to roll it back each time I walked towards the kitchen. I have a desire to deflate the ball after ever use but it took to long to inflate and then what will I do with a flat ball that resist being folded. I actually without tension on my back when I do sit-ups but feel like I am straining my neck.

The Secret is Out

ASSI - Victoria's Secret panties feel like silk, look better, and feel better than they fit. I was out shopping with my daughter who ventured into Victoria's Secret and asked me to fill these panties that are soft, seamless, and has spandex/nylon but are the most uncomfortable panties that I have worn. I generally purchase my undies from Marshall's primarily because the price is right and the offer quite bra and pantie sets. One of my biggest complaints with Hipphugger pantie is the crouch fabric it holds moisture that is an uncomfortable feeling and made me feel like, I might develop an infection. The crouch is cotton less and feels more like velvet that does not breath. I picked my seat more with these panties more than any other. My problem with Victoria's Secret is the undies are over priced and must be hand washed to preserve them otherwise they fall apart after washing. After spending $60.00 for undies, I am done with the fancy panties that feel and look good. As I see it I would have been better of sticking to my usual Marshall's purchases that last for years and I can put them in the wash. $60.00 at Marshall's would have purchased a weeks worth of panties and bras. I give Body By Victoria's Secret undies 1.5 blinks.

Intoxicating Mattress

ASSI - The Tempur Pedic mattress is as advertise it conforms to and supports your entire, and relieves the pressure that often causes stiffness, poor sleep, and pain. It is the best sleep that I have experienced in years. However, some would argue that the Latex mattress and/or sleep comfort mattresses are better than the Tempur Pedic mattress. I have simply tested the latex mattress and sleep comfort meaning I laid on the showroom models, but I have had the pleasure of sleeping on the Tempur Pedic mattress and find it the most intoxicating sleep that I have ever experienced. Utopian Experience at Utopia

ASSI - Utopia is one of my favorite restaurants in Washington, DC located on 14th and U Street, N.W. has an eclectic decor all of the paintings that adorn the wall were painted by Jamalie the owner who also owns Sousies located on 18th Street in Adams Morgan. The last time that we were there the food was better than the service and drinks but generally service is better. In the past when Jamalie was always there the drinks, service and food was excellent. I really enjoyed dining and being social at Utopia but after awhile it was too much of the sameole-sameole the menu still the same from the last time we were there about 8 months ago; however the did offer a couple of specials. A trio band use to play on the weekends but I am unable to confirm if a band still plays. The restaurant use to be small and quaint until the expansion came after the space next door became available. The last couple times we had the pleasure of dinning at Utopia's the drinks were just okay but it a great place for an intimate evening and good gathering place for a social evening with friends. As I see it i give Utopia 3 blinks solely based on our last visit.
