Syrah Grapes Makes For A Great Bottle Of Shiraz

ASSI – I have been on a quest to find a Red Wine that is ideal for my palate, by Jorge I think I have found it, Syrah is a dark skinned grape that is derived from Dureza a dark skinned grape and Monduese Blanche a white grape cultivated in the Savoy region. Syrah is most notable in Australia, but its origin supposedly is France as well as Europe, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, United States, South Africa, and Canada. Therefore, wherever our travels take us, I should be able to find a bottle of Shiraz. My introduction to Shiraz was at Macaroni Grill and I knew from my first glass that Merlot and Cabernet would no longer be my choice of Red Wine. It is really a nice blend of what appears to be Blackberry, Plum, licorice, chocolate, mocha, and/or pepper flavors. Thus far I’ve only purchased a bottle made by Yellow Tail, it is flavorful and not too heavy, but I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying a glass of others brands while dinning and socializing with friends. I have not identified one particular product that I prefer over another. As I see it, Shiraz is a great Red Wine that offers a better taste than Merlot and Cabernet, and deserves a try. I give Shiraz Red Wine 4.5 blinks

Lindemans A Favorable Blend

ASSI - As a wine connoisseur I am always searching for that perfect bottle of Red wine that contains a nice blend of grapes, but not too strong or too expensive. I stumbled on a bottle of Lindemans Cabernet Sauvignon at a local Liquor store that was priced at $10.99, I was skeptical about its taste, but was pleasantly surprised that it was smooth with little to no bite. According to Lindemans, their bins are made with fruit sourced from key grape-growing regions in Australia, which peeked my interest. Lindemans also claims that the 2006 condition was a relatively early vintage, with low rainfall and warm weather contributing to an early budburst and flowering. Mild to warm weather throughout summer helped the fruit to mature well and rains at harvest allowed fruit to ripen well with good varietal character. As I see it Lindemans is a nice Red wine to serve your dinner guest or to simply enjoy at the end of an evening. I give Lindemans' Cabernet Sauvignon 3 blinks.

Chimney Rock's Cabernet Sauvignon

ASSI - I want to be a connoisseur of Red Wine only but I am still acquiring the taste for it. Most of it is tolerable and some of it taste like vinegar, but overall if I can loose my taste for alcohol and just drink Red Wine that will be most ideal for me. I had the pleasure of receiving a bottle of Chimney Rock, Cabernet Sauvignon that I actually opened this weekend. It is extremely dark, much thicker than the fake-me-out box wines, much better quality no lingering taste, the flavor is subtle, but enjoyable. I will do more analyst of this and update this post when a sniff, swirl, and leg test is done. As I see it Chimney Rock's Cabernet Sauvignon is a great tasting Red Wine that offers a lot of flavor.
