Greenwich Village Tile Tribute
ASSI - We came upon this beautiful display of tiles that are a tribute to the victims of 9/11 while riding through Greenwich Village in New York City. Each tile was individually painted by a-love-one of a World Trade Center worker. The Downtown and Uptown city gray line bus tour afforded us an opportunity to appreciate the various creative expressions featured throughout the city, and Gray Line Tours is a great way to get around the city while visiting for a week or weekend. On a cold November weekend, all bundled up for an up top ride of a Double Decker bus, the tiles were a burst of energy, and the colors jumped out at me. The reason alone was enough to capture this shot, plus it is a nice piece of art that is worth sharing. If you are familiar with tile tribute, we would love for you to share your thoughts. As I see it, when and if you visit Greenwich Village, you must locate the tiles.
