ASSI - I prefer the memory stick over the SanDisk memory card, all the computers and laptops that I have used were all equipped with a port for the memory stick, but that was not the case with the memory card. You can place both in your pocket, purse, or brief case without taking up space; however, if you lose the cap on the memory stick or the case for the memory card can jeopardize accessing stored files. As I see it, depending on your need, both are smart purchases. If you are storing digital images the memory card is for you; if you are storing documents, music, and digital images from a computer the memory stick is for you, and if you require both decide on memory and brand before making a purchase.
