Still Time to See "This Christmas"

AHSI...This Christmas starring Loretta Divine, as Shirley Ann Whitfield, is a delightful movie for the entire family to see. The story unfolds as some of her children, Sharon Leal ( Kelli Whitfield the college grad), Lauren London (Mel Whitfield the professional college student) come home for the holidays. Regina King(Lisa Whitfield Moore) the married daughter with kids and Chris Brown (Mike "Baby" Whitfield) the youngest son who lives with the matriarch of the family are preparing to receive the rest of their siblings. Idris Elba (Quentin the musician) and Columbus Short (Claude the military man) round off the rest of the men in the immediate family and they bring their own set of drama to this soulful comedy. AHSI gives This Christmas 3.5 eyeballs.
ASSI.....R & B Singer Chris Brown makes his big screen debut in "This Christmas", a feel good holiday film for all ages. Loretta Devine, is Ma Dear, who is an older single woman with six children and owns a Dry Cleaners that she operates with her Eldest daughter, Lisa Whitfield Moore (Regina King), but Moore wants to sell the cleaners causing tension. This Christmas is the Brady Bunch minus the husband who is replaced with a strong, intelligent, and street smart boyfriend. Joseph Black, played by Delroy Lindo is cohabiting with Devine behind her suspecting children's back. All of Ma Dears children bring dirty laundry for Christmas that has to be sorted and dealt with, but on Christmas day all the stains have been removed and everything is clean in time to make This Christmas, a Whitfield Christmas. Black is an ideal man for any single woman with adult children, and Lindo and Devine complimented each other as a couple. This Christmas is a well written movie, and although a few of the characters were unneeded, the entire cast executed the director's vision. As I see it see this while it is still playing at the theaters and tell us what you think. This Christmas receives 3.5 blinks from ASSI.
