Colts And The Cowboys Are Both Upset By The Underdogs

AHSI.....This weekend we saw the fall of two power house teams in the NFL. On Saturday we saw last years Superbowl Champs, the Indianapolis Colts, lose to the backup quarterback (B. Volek) and running back (M. Turner) of the San Diego Chargers. Philip Rivers and LT were both knocked out of the game by the hard hitting defense of the Indianapolis Colts. On Sunday, the New York Giants came into BIG D with the good Eli Manning and their tough defense and let the Dallas Cowboys know that they could not beat them three times in a row. Marion Barber started (about time) and contributed over 100 yards, a touchdown and a presence on the field that the Giants defense felt during the game. Romo had to much Jessica Simpson on his mind and never looked comfortable during the whole game. TO played and added a touchdown for his effort. Ironically, the Chargers(28-24) and the Giants (21-17) won by four points.
The New England Patriots defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 31-20 in what started out as a great game. The two headed monster Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew were both held under 50 yards rushing and receiving. David Girard made one mistake, throwing an interception that eventually cost them the game. Tom Brady had his usual perfect game throwing 3 TD's while L. Maroney had over 100 yards rushing. Ben Watson helped out by catching 2 of the 3 TD's that Brady threw. Wes Welker caught the other TD and the Patriots defense played great.
Brett Farve, rallied the troops from being down two touchdowns in the 1st quarter to beating the Seattle Seahawks 42-20 on a snow covered field. Ryan Grant, the running back for Green Bay, had 201 yards rushing and 3 TD's in the snow. Greg Jennings, wide receiver for the Packers, added 2 TD's to help Green Bay advance into the NFC Conference Championship Game. Bobby Engram (WR) and Shaun Alexander (RB) both had one touchdown for the Seattle Seahawks.
